Indian Parliamentary Delegation Concludes Diplomatic Sojourn to Ethiopia Amid Shared Condemnation of Terrorism
KEYIR NEWS: –In a culmination most dignified, the multi-party Parliamentary delegation of the Republic of India, under the esteemed leadership of Ms. Supriya Sule, Member of the Lok Sabha, has this eve concluded their diplomatic engagement in Ethiopia.
This visitation marked the final chapter in a quadripartite tour orchestrated in the wake of the grievous terror assault of 22nd April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and the subsequent military undertaking therein denominated as Operation Sindoor.
During their tenure in Addis Ababa, the delegation did partake in manifold discourses, replete with gravity and fruitfulness, with eminent personages of the Ethiopian state, scholars, sages of civil society, the learned members of think-tanks, and the Indian diaspora, who dwell in this ancient land.
In these assemblies, the Indian envoys did, with one accord, reaffirm the Republic’s unyielding doctrine of zero tolerance toward the scourge of cross-border terrorism.
They discoursed at length upon the deplorable outrage perpetrated in Pahalgam and did recount the precise and measured retaliatory measures undertaken by the Indian state through Operation Sindoor. Said measures, being neither indiscriminate nor excessive, did bear witness to India’s solemn resolve to confront terror without inviting broader conflagration.
In fraternal concord, the Ethiopian side did proclaim its own unwavering stance against all forms of terrorism. The Government of Ethiopia did reiterate that acts of terror must be condemned utterly and without equivocation. The Indian delegation, in turn, did express profound gratitude for the solidarity extended by Ethiopia in the dolorous aftermath of the Pahalgam tragedy.
The delegation did likewise underscore the imperative of identifying, exposing, and sternly chastising not only the immediate malefactors, but also those who extend them succour—be it through material or moral support. It was made known that the Republic hath commenced the methodical dismantling of terror infrastructure, long cultivated beyond her borders and deployed against her peace and sovereignty.
In communion with the media and civil society, the distinguished Parliamentarians rendered an erudite exposition of their deliberations, whilst also addressing sundry inquiries proffered by members of the press. In their final address to the Indian community in Ethiopia, the delegation offered high commendation for their steadfast commitment to the virtues of tolerance, pluralism, and unity—those cardinal principles by which societies are held together.
Special recognition was bestowed upon the Ethiopian alumni of Indian institutions, many of whom now occupy stations of considerable influence within Ethiopia’s civic and public spheres. These individuals, the delegation observed, have stood in solidarity with India, lending their voices in support of measures to thwart the designs of terror.
Thus concluded a visit steeped in earnest diplomacy and mutual reaffirmation of shared values, wherein two ancient nations—bound by history and fraternity—did once more align their voices against the spectre of terror and division.
